Alex Fonseca is a Upstate Native New Yorker of PuertoRican descent growing up listening to the Rock music of the 60's & 70 's and, during the summer months listening to the Live Salsa Bands that would come to the Villas in Plattekill NY. Later those same band leaders would become Latin Music Icons thru out the world. At the age of 11 his family relocates to Puerto Rico to live, where he began trumpet lessons and began playing with local Salsa bands.
When he turned 15 yrs of age he returned to reside in the NY area that seen him grow up and commenced to play the Tri-State area NY-NJ-PA during this time he expands his music studies to include trombón while becoming a regional band leader and studio musician performing in Concerts, Festivals, and Night Clubs. In 2003 he moves to South Miami to sign on the Cruise Ship " Majesty of the Seas " as a Trombone & Piano player for the featured on board Latin Band " Tito Sanchez y La Orquesta Brava"
In 2005 Alex once again goes back to Puerto Rico fronting various bands on the Island until 2010 when he decides to come to the Jacksonville, Florida area and puts together what is known as The Jax English Salsa Band. This band now in its 6 year of performing in the Florida, Georgia area takes its audience thru a Musical Journey thru Latin America and the Caribbean, performing its repertory in dual Language Spanish & English while delivering the pulsating Latin beats and rhythms that make people: stomp their feet, throw their hands in the air and move their waist left and right the night away!
